A Landing Page That Sells: 9 Elements That Increase Enquiries

Ads bring the visitor, but the landing page decides whether they call or get in touch. Let's go through the 9 elements every page you send ad traffic to should have – from the headline to the form.

You can have the best-configured ads in the world, but if they send people to a page that doesn't convince them, the money is gone. A landing page is the page a visitor "lands" on after clicking an ad, and its only job is to turn them into an enquiry, a call or a purchase.

1. A headline that matches the ad

The person clicked on an ad with a specific promise. The page headline must repeat that promise – in the same words. If the ad says "Bathroom renovation in 3 weeks", the headline must not read "Welcome to our website".

2. A clear benefit for the customer

Below the headline, explain in one or two sentences what the customer gets. Not what you do, but which problem you solve for them and why you.

3. One main call to action

The page should have one goal – for example "Get a free quote". The button should stand out, be visible without scrolling and be repeated further down the page. Five different calls to action only confuse the visitor.

4. Proof that they can trust you

Social proof is often a stronger argument than anything you write about yourself.

5. Answers to objections

Every customer has questions before deciding: How much does it cost? How long does it take? What if I'm not satisfied? A short FAQ section removes the obstacles that would otherwise make them leave.

6. A short form

Every extra field reduces the number of submissions. For a first contact, a name, a phone number or email and a short message are enough. You'll find out the details in the conversation.

7. Loading speed

On mobile, people wait only a few seconds for a page. A slow landing page loses visitors before they see anything – and Google raises your cost per click for a slow page too. Aim for loading within 2–3 seconds.

8. Mobile first

Most people come from ads on mobile. Buttons must be big enough, text readable without zooming and the phone number clickable so the customer can call you with one tap.

9. Tracking and testing

Without tracking you don't know whether the page works. Watch how many visitors submit the form and test changes – a different headline, a different button, a different order of sections. Even a small change can increase enquiries by tens of percent. More on this in the article Conversion tracking with GA4 and Meta Pixel.

Conclusion

A good landing page isn't about effects, but about a clear message, trust and an easy next step. When you put these elements together properly, the same ads bring you more customers for the same money.
